Classic Kids Party Games

These are some classic and easy children’s party games, that will make your party fun without having to spend any extra on supplies for them and the adults can get involved and play as well.

  1. Three Legged Race

This is such a fun birthday party game that is fun with kids but hilarious for adults. All you need for this game is something to tie each pair’s legs together. You then race to a finish line and the pair that make it the fastest win.

  1. Duck Duck Goose

Get all the children to sit in a circle, then pick one out. The chosen child walks around the outside of the circle, tapping the head of each child as he/she passes them, and calling out ‘duck.’After a while, the child says ‘goose!’ and starts running round the circle to get back to the place where they were sitting. The ‘goose’ child has to chase and try and catch them. If the first child gets back round the circle before being caught, they sit down, and the chaser has their turn. If not, the same child goes again.

  1. Musical Chairs

Put out a line of chairs, one next to the other but facing in opposite directions. The children have to dance around the chairs and when the music stops, sit on a chair immediately. Each time, take away a chair while the music plays. The child left without a chair when the music stops is out. The last child left in is the winner. For a safe party game for young children, use cushions instead of chairs.

  1. Egg & Spoon Race

This game can get a bit messy so it is best played outside in an open area. Each child gets a spoon with an egg on it, they then line up and have to race to a designated finish line without dropping their egg off of their spoon. The first child that makes it the fastest without dropping their egg wins. You can alternatively boil the eggs so that they don’t break when dropped.
